2022 Action Month for Children launched in Binh Thuan

BTO – The launching ceremony of action month for children 2022 took place in the morning of June 1st at the provincial Convention center. The event, launched by the Department of Labor, War-Invalids, and Social Affairs, had the attendance of the Vice-chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Minh, and more than 200 children, and students in Phan Thiet city.

Over the years, Children’s rights and protection have garnered a lot of attention from the Party and State as the systems of policies and laws on children are basically completed for the sake of children. A majority of agencies and departments have realized the important tasks of protecting and implementing children’s rights, gaining many positive changes. Nevertheless, many unexpected cases of incidents, violence, sexual abuse, fatal accidences, injury, labor abuse, malnutrition, children dropping out of school, etc still exist.

The annual Action Month for Children taking place throughout every June (from June 1st to 30th) has become a great mass media campaign to call for the joint effort of the entire society in conducting the Party and State’s Laws and Policies on Children protection and Children’s rights. Since then, children can be protected and minimized the adverse cases of violence, abuse, or falling into special circumstances.

Under the theme "Joining hands to care for, educate and protect children", the Action Month for Children 2022 aims to engage the whole society to join hands to protect children from abuse, without harmless, free from violence and the children can live in a safe, healthy environment and develop comprehensively.

Recognizing such an important range, all activities of the children, students, and adolescents during the month and summer vacation are taken into consideration so that children can enjoy the most benefits from the Party and State’s preferential policies and incentives.

Addressing the event, Vice Chairman of PPC Nguyen Minh urged the departments, agencies, and bodies at all levels to be keen on paving the way for children to enjoy their rights, preventing and repulsing risks of abuse, and violence. He also expressed his wish to build up a safe and healthy environment for children during their summer holiday, calling upon the participation of the entire society and families.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh granted scholarships to disadvangated students.

On the occasion, 79 disadvantaged children were granted scholarships and gifts from the People’s Committees of Binh Thuan province and Phan Thiet city.
