The People's Committee of Binh Thuan province has just officially issued the plan to organize the contest "Vietnam aspiration: Making Phan Thiet become the world's leading MICE and Wellness tourism destination in 2045". With a global scope, the contest aims to select excellent and feasible ideas and initiatives from organizations and individuals everywhere for development planning, turning Phan Thiet into the world’s leading MICE (tourism combining conferences, seminars, exhibitions, events, rewards) and Wellness (travel combined with health care) tourism destination by 2045. At the same time, the competition will focus on promoting and communicating about Phan Thiet city - Binh Thuan - Vietnam and Novaworld Phan Thiet (a super city of beach - tourism - health) that is gradually taking shape. The place is also considered as one owning the leading facilities that meet the standards of MICE and Wellness tourism to create a new and innovative destination of the world in the 21st century.
It can be said that the contest is not only large-scale but also meaningful. Especially, it helps arouse the aspiration of Vietnam to be powerful according to the goals set out at the 13th National Congress and building the Vietnamese tourism brand into a global brand. Particularly for localities, it is to jointly implement and gradually realize Resolution No.06 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee (term XIV) on tourism development to 2025, with orientation to 2030. The contest was held to activate Phan Thiet - Binh Thuan tourism, contributing to the development strategy and vision to 2045 to turn Vietnam into a developed country, etc.
With the above scale, the contest is chaired by Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, sponsored by Novaland Group and supported by the Michael Dukakis Institute (Boston, USA) and is expected to take place from September 2022 until September 2023 with many great value prizes.
Spreading the brand-name destination
In order to spread the leading destination brand, the Provincial People's Committee's plan is also to organize many activities associated with the contest "Vietnam aspiration: Making Phan Thiet a leading MICE and Wellness tourism destination in the world. year 2045”. Particularly, the international symposium on tourism MICE and Wellness have been organized both face-to-face and online with the presence of representative agencies, experts, researchers, and typical businesses in the field of tourism. In addition, the promotion activities have been also raised thanks to news agencies, press and social media representatives in Vietnam such as Facebook, Google, Zalo, digital TV channels, etc. Besides, they will coordinate to organize a number of outstanding events, namely: International Yoga Festival, Photo exhibition about the homeland - people of Binh Thuan, City tour program "Phan Thiet experience journey" (expected to have a helicopter to see typical places from above).
During the contest, in the coastal tourist city of Phan Thiet, there are also more surface activities, such as at the International Food Festival, which is expected to invite representatives of visitors from some countries around the world and 63 provinces and cities in the country. The event will promote and introduce the region's unique culinary culture. Moreover, the Countdown Festival combining art, light and fashion performances to welcome the new year will be held on New Year's Eve 2023. Along with that, there are sporting events such as the International Marathon, the Golf Tournament, international friendship and NovaWorld charity fund-raising activities to help disadvantaged people in Binh Thuan province.
Closing the series of related activities, there will be the NovaWorld International Sports Day and the final award ceremony of the contest "Vietnam aspiration: Turning Phan Thiet into the world's leading MICE and Wellness tourism destination in 2045" slated for September 2023.
Meanwhile, the communication work will be carried out abroad by the Michael Dukakis Institute (Boston, USA) in various forms suitable for this scale contest. In Vietnam, the contest will be promoted before, during and after the contest to contribute to spreading the good value of "Vietnam's aspiration: Making Phan Thiet the world's leading MICE and Wellness tourism destination in 2045".
