First tourists eagerly visit Binh Thuan in new normal period

BTO- After a long suspension caused by Covid-19’s impacts, Binh Thuan tourism has officially reopened to welcome tourists as a pilot on October 24th. The resumption is meaningful as it falls on the 26th anniversary of Binh Thuan Tourism (October 24, 1995-2021), and pave the way for the locality to revive and develop in the new normal stage was Joint held in Phan Thiet City.

As of now, three accommodation facilities in Phan Thiet city are eligible to re-open includingly: Anatara Mui Ne, Pandanus Resort and Centara Mirage Mui Ne. On the first day of resuption, nearly 150 tourists from Ho Chi Minh City with “Green cards” have arrived on the locality. At the reception, all tourists have to fullfil rapid test with Covid-19, medical declaration, etc as mandatory check-in procedures. At 10.00 AM on October 24th, family of Ms. Dang Thai Thanh Trang from Ho Chi Minh City has arrived at Pandanus Mui Ne resort. Her family feel excited and comfortable as they can enjoy the relaxing moment after many days of fighting against the epidemic in Ho Chi Minh City.

In preparation for the return of tourists,  over 90 percent of the local tourist employees have been vaccinated at least 1 shot of Covid-19 vaccine, and 3 percent of them get a full dose of Covid-19 vaccines.

As statistics, around 50,000 travel employees have been badly affected by the epidemic, 100 percent of travel firms temporarily stop operation and face numerous difficulties. Therefore, the pilot of re-opening to welcome tourists inspires the travel enterprises and employees to better cater the tourists. Remarkbaly, the task of the Covid-19 prevention and control is put on the top.

On the same day of October 24th, leaders of Binh Thuan authorities greeted the first tourists with flowers and gifts. At the event, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Minh thanked the presence of those first tourists for choosing Binh Thuan as their first destination in a “new normal” period. He also wished the tourists a meaningful and wonderful holiday during their stay in Mui Ne. At the same time, Mr. Minh expected the local tourist businesses to continue making efforts to welcome visitors, contributing to the resumption of Binh Thuan tourism activities in the coming time. He also stressed that the resumption of tourism activities is made in accordance with anti-pandemic rules.

Director of The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Bui The Nhan said that Binh Thuan is working on a plan to resume tourism and promote the province as a safe destination for visitors. The department has also actively applied digital technology in advertising local tourist destinations through the use of QR codes, media channels, and social networks, while building online tours for travellers.
