Propaganda on sea and islands and prevention of the Covid-19 epidemic strengthened nationwide

BTO- Ms. Phan Thi Vi Van - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee said that in the past time, despite being affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province have actively coordinated with organizations members to use propaganda methods suitable to the actual situation in the locality.

Accordingly, the propaganda aims to raise citizens' sense of responsibility for protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands; and to fight against wrong views and distorting claims of hostile forces about the East Sea on "Strategy for sustainable development of Vietnam's marine economy to 2030, with a vision to 2045". At the same time, Directive No. 30-CT/TU dated January 16, 2018 of the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee on urgent tasks and solutions is strictly implemented to strengthen management, prevent and stop fishing vessels, fishermen in the province illegally exploit seafood in foreign waters, etc with more than 100 propaganda waves.

“By grasping the situation of public opinion in localities in the province, during the year there were no outstanding cases among the people related to sea and island issues. Citizens agree and believe in the Party's and State's policy and approach to solving sea and island issues," said Ms. Phan Thi Vi Van.

It is necessary to proactively grasp the situation, especially in areas with a large number of complaints and lawsuits, localities with a large number of religious people, ethnic minorities, and industrial parks to firmly grasp the public opinion related to the sea and islands situation. At the same time, regularly remind cadres, civil servants, and employees of Front agencies at all levels not to like, share, comment on bad, toxic, and misleading posts or baseless allegations when joining social media; besides, be sure to grasp information on social networking sites with provocative content, gather it in large numbers in the province to provide to the authorities.

The year 2022 will be a year with many changes in the propaganda plan about the effectiveness of foreign information work, sea, and island propaganda. Accordingly, localities, social organizations, and mass organizations need to diversify contents, methods, and appropriate forms of propaganda. Along with that is the active participation of the whole political system, raising awareness and arousing patriotism and national pride, consolidating people's confidence in the policies of the Party and State.

Information and public opinion, especially on sensitive and newly arising issues, struggle to refute false information, distorted claims of opportunistic and hostile forces around issues Territorial sovereignty should be captured promptly. In addition, the integration of propaganda in the implementation of political, economic, cultural, and social tasks, major national holidays, and important events contribute to building political security and economic development more and more sustainable.
